Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where do you train?

A. Training takes place in a location well-suited to both client and trainer. This is normally in the client's house or garden, office or apartment gym, or a convenient, free-to-use outdoor location.

Some outdoor spaces require permits or licenses to train so always check first.

Remote coaching is also now available. Train at home anywhere in the UK. Find out more here.

For information on which areas are serviced please get in contact.

Q. How long are the sessions?

A. Most sessions are 60 minutes. Shorter or longer sessions are available upon request. There are times the session may go over 60 minutes if there are issues which need to be addressed - don't worry, there is no extra charge in situations like this.

If you are late for your session then you may only receive the remainder of the time of your session.

Q. What do I need to bring?

A. Wear comfortable, suitable clothing for the sessions. You don't want to be too cold, hot or uncomfortable for the session! Also, you should bring a bottle of water, towel (if needed) and any necessary medication.

If you are going to be doing pad work then it is advisable you provide your own boxing gloves and wraps for hygiene reasons.

Q. How do I pay?

A. Payments can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer on the day, or before, training.

Q. Do you have a cancellation policy?

A. Yes. Any cancellation made within 24 hours of the appointed time will incur a charge of the full fee of the session. For more information visit our terms and conditions

Q. What if I want to bring a friend?

A. You can train with a friend, partner or family member free of charge (3 people max).

Any person wishing to join the session needs to sign a PARQ first. For sessions with 3 or more other people, an additional fee of £5 per person is applied.

Q. Do I need a doctors note?

A. You do not need a doctors note to train unless requested. Before training, you should fill out a PARQ form - a physical activity readiness questionnaire.

This form asks if you have any conditions which may affect our ability to exercise, or if a physician or doctor has said you shouldn't train for whatever reason. In this case, a doctors' note will be required before commencement.

Q. Will I get help with nutrition?

A. Yes. Nutrition is such an important factor in overall health and fitness. As part of any personal training programme, nutritional guidance is provided.

This website is also full of articles on the subject of nutrition and exercise so be sure to check them out to help improve your understanding. Remember, knowledge is power!
