Martial Arts Training

Training for the sake of training doesn't appeal to everyone. With martial arts training, you learn a new skill and improve all aspects of your physical fitness. Where some people find the repetitiveness of standard training boring, martial arts is the answer. You will learn how to defend yourself, how to fight and how to relax, all whilst improving your fitness and physique.

All types of martial arts training work the cardiovascular system in an effective manner and is a great way to burn body fat and get fitter - don't worry, you won't get hit! Training is performed on focus pads whilst wearing gloves and wrist wraps to reduce the risk of injury.

THE TYPES OF MARTIAL ARTS AVAILABLE

KUNGFU

Traditional kungfu incorporates aspects of striking, low stances, controlled movements and sometimes forms. A different approach to martial arts training, kungfu can be adjusted for all ability and fitness levels.

KICKBOXING

Kickboxing incorporates striking with the hands, elbows, knees and feet. The training is typically more intense than kungfu training but requires more flexibility and stamina than boxing training.

Boxing training utilises the fists for striking and requires stamina, coordination and the ability to move on your toes.

EQUIPMENT

All training equipment is provided for you. Kettlebells, resistance bands, boxing pads and battle ropes are often used. All you need to bring is suitable exercise shoes, water and enthusiasm!
